One of the best patio's in town is hidden behind a nondescript building and a block wall. Like most Arizona gems, you could drive by the Arcadia location and not even wonder what that building is. In fact, if you don't see the sign by the street, you may entirely miss the small lime green letters on the side of the building and drive right past it even when you know it's there!

Walk in, and you find yourself in an all new world. The interior is a blend of elements: wood, block, concrete, metal to create a modern, hip feel. If you want a seat in this popular local joint, you've gotta get an early start. The Arcadia patio for "Sunday School" brunch fills up by around 11:45 with people enjoying 1/2 price bottles of wine, bocce ball, $3 margaritas, and live music from Elvis Before Noon (3-6pm).The Uptown location has different specials and times, so check their website depending on where you're parking yourself. Most nights have a DJ or live music, all tables are loaded with spice containers filled with trivia cards, and they offer complimentary transportation on the "Vig Rig" if you're in the area and don't want to drive (but don't forget to tip!).

Yes, this restaurant is categorized as a bar. But we love to go for the food and atmosphere! The "Trifecta" sliders with grilled onions, pickle slices, and cheese melt in your mouth. Our wing expert from Buffalo, NY found their traditional "Hot Vings" with the sweet and spicy tang to be different, but quite tasty. We loved the "Vigazz Burger" with bacon, smoked gouda, tomato, and arugula. Even through it took an hour to eat because of it's size, that plate went back clean! We also loved the aptly named "Best Turkey Sandwich" with dill havarti, cranberry chutney on the side, cole slaw (on the sandwich), and honey mustard mayo on a pretzel bun. Yup, we said pretzel bun - and if you ask, they'll let you sub that with your burgers too! We also loved the "Love Me Tenderloin Sandwich" of pork tenderloin, gastrique onions, and smoked mozzarella. All come with your choice of side, and we highly recommend the shoestring fries if you like thin crunchy, and their sweet potato fries, and the vig-o-rings taste homemade even though they aren't.

If you're at Arcadia - during nice weather and the patio is open, grab a table outside! This patio is one of our favorites in Phoenix because it is shaded by a large tree and the sun peeks through to allow just enough sunshine with your shade. The patio is relaxed with a fire pit, bocce ball area, live bands, and Meowsers the patio cat, who may be sleeping in any of the booths or chairs (take an allergy pill if you have an aversion to kitties). To stay current with Vig specials, like them on facebook (Uptown and Arcadia have different pages). This venue is focused on the upscale neighborhood tavern vibe, and the company you go with over some great food. If you're looking for a sports bar and entertainment, this isn't the place you need for your night. But if you have good company that you want to relax with over a tasty beverage and have great conversation with a side of people watching and fun - this is the place for you!
