We love Phoenix pool parties! Summertime in Phoenix is hot. Really hot, like someone left the oven
open and you're standing in front of it. That's why almost half the houses around the valley have backyard swimming pools. But what about the days when you want to get away? When you crave an experience outside of the backyard and your pool floaties? |

Many Phoenicians have a secret
of how we beat the heat - and we're about to spill the beans....It's all
about the Phoenix Pool Parties at local hotels.

Now, even though some residents will "crash" pools by sneaking in and enjoying the area, we are focusing on the places you can visit and not worry about your day being ruined by security. For a fun, retro experience, we love the Clarendon Hotel
(pictured above). Their "Oasis" pool has a $10 cover charge for non
guests and is open from 6am-Midnight. Bordered by a 60 foot wide, 2
story tall water wall, |
the pool has underwater speakers, colorful mosaic tile, and a 50 person jacuzzi. Just inside is Gallo Blanco, where you can get munchies and bevvies to enjoy on the luxury loungers and outdoor couches.
Another of our favorite hotel pools belongs to the W Hotel. Open 24 hours, their "WET" pool is on the second floor above the hotel entrance and has viewing portals for ultimate people watching as you walk into the hotel. Non guests can gain access to the pool for $10 any day of the week. Cabanas can be purchased for $350, but even the daybeds have lounge side service, as well as a pool bar that you can belly up to and get some shade. |

The Hotel Valley Ho allows non registered guests to enter their OH Pool for free Sunday-Friday (Sat and holiday weekends are reserved for guests). This pool has been named one of the top Phoenix pool parties in several different magazines, and has it's own Friday happy hour, Saturday Sessions with DJ's, and City Sundays with cocktail specials.
The Point Hilton Sqaw Peak offers a $20 rate to use the pool during the summers - the rest of the year it depends on the occupancy of the hotel. At the Point Hilton Tapatio Cliffs, you and your friends can rent a cabana for $50-$100. Not a bad cost when it's split between a few people.
Another option that's one of a kind is hidden in Old Town Scottsdale. The Spanish Fly Mexican Beach Club lets you lounge by their 4 foot deep wading pool for free from 11am-sunset. Check their website for their upcoming pool parties and bottle service options.
