Satisfy Your Inner Shop-a-holic at Poor Little Rich Girl

What girl doesn't love great deals? I discovered Poor Little Rich Girl while reading a YELP! email about local Phoenix shopping. Now here's the thing, I usually can't stand consignment stores or places like Ross and TJ Max because of the unorganized, junky feel. I have to be in a serious "dig through crap" kind of mood to even consider entering through the doors! However, a 4.5 star rating from 33 reviewers made me decide to open my mind and drag my girlfriend shopping. Boy am I glad I did! Poor Little Rich Girl feels like a treasure shop instead of a junk store.

Before I actually went into the store, I took a liking to Poor Little Rich Girl on Facebook and spent a few days ogling their daily mannequin outfit posts, handbags, and jewelry. It's a great way to see if their styles mesh with your own and get a feel of the shop. Having been in retail myself, the cute boutiquey displays, Tiffany Blue walls, and antique fixtures helped convince me to pay it a face to face visit. I have to say, for consignment Phoenix shopping, this is one of the best shops I've found for item wear-a-bility and style.

Poor Little Rich Girl originally opened in March of 2008 under the name "Fournier's Petite Armoire" and underwent a name change in January of 2009. Currently there are two locations, one in the Uptown area, and an Arcadia location. Both locations accept consigners, but (lucky for us shoppers) only accept authentic designer items, modern vintage items, almost new quality women's clothing, formal wear, and shoes that have only been worn once or twice. They do not accept "faux" designer, wedding gowns, undergarments, scrubs, anything that would have originally sold for less than $35, or anything not "in style."

These are some of the great deals I scooped up at their Uptown location:

They run various promotions, currently you can save 15% by donating to their cancer fund, save $5 off a $30 purchase by taking your receipt to their other location within 48 hours of your purchase, or shop Thursday between 4pm-7pm for Happy Hour and enjoy wine and 15% off your shopping.

Which got me to visit their Arcadia location and discover these great finds:

I love quality and great prices. Some of the name brands you'll find are Vera Bradley, Micheal Kors, Steve Madden, Juicy Couture, Ugg, Coach, Burberry, Tiffany & Co, Dooney & Bourke, BCBG, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Kate Spade, Brighton, Fendi, Betsy Johnson, Charles David, Chanel, and Ralph Lauren. Are you ready to throw elbows with me over the next great find? Because I'll be shopping here again soon!
