One of our favorite Phoenix Restaurants has been a valley institution for over 10 years. We love that Craig and Kris DeMarco builds their restaurants in historically relevant neighborhood buildings. The first location in Arcadia exists in the Historic Arcadia Post Office, the building on Central was Katz’s Deli for 30 years before they closed their doors, and the Gilbert location is set in the former GrainBelt building. What you'll notice is, despite the history and age of the building, a contemporary/ modern feel inside, friendly staff with a passion for wine, and a rocking patio packed with people at all their locations.
But what we love even more than it’s historic respect and place in our communities – is bruschetta that makes our taste buds sing. For only $13.50, you can pick 4 of 11 bruschetta’s like Brie & Apples with Fig Spread, Prosciutto with Fig & Mascarpone, and Burrata, Bacon, Arugula & Tomatoes. With so many options, it’s easy to be enthralled with fancy combinations, but don’t skip the basic Fresh Mozzarella with Tomato and Basil. This will become your favorite of them all. The bruschetta bread is made fresh at a local Phoenix bakery, and the mozzarella is flown in daily from Cali. Every Monday and Tuesday you can partake in the after 8pm special of any house bottle of wine and bruschetta for only $20. It’s like a bottle of wine for less than the price of a glass!
Postino also offers paninis, soups, salads, and desserts (all of which are delicious) and has won accolades from Phoenix Magazine and Arizona Foothills, as well as ratings between 4.5 and 5 stars on Yelp.com and Urbanspoon.com. So come out to their patio or table. Have a glass, and a bite. We guarantee you’ll put this in your restaurant rotation from here out!
